WICSEC Awards

Child Support staff and programs deserve recognition and gratitude and often do not receive it. WICSEC bestows the following WICSEC Excellence awards each year at its annual conference:

The Outstanding Program Award recognizes a state, regional, county, or tribal program that has consistently and comprehensively exemplified the best in child support enforcement.

The Most Improved Program Award recognizes a state, regional, county or tribal program that has shown exceptional improvement in key aspects of the child support enforcement program over the past three years.

The Outstanding Individual Achievement Award (Technical/Line Staff) recognizes individuals who are in technical or line staff positions in the public or private sector that have made significant contributions to the child support enforcement program. County, state, federal and private employees, policy makers, advocates and others, who have improved the lives of children through their efforts to promote more effective child support enforcement, are eligible for this award.

The Outstanding Individual Achievement Award (Manager/Supervisor) recognizes individuals who are managers or supervisors in the public or private sector that have made significant contributions to the child support enforcement program. County, state, federal and private employees, policy makers, advocates and others, who have improved the lives of children through their efforts to promote more effective child support enforcement, are eligible for this award.

The Program Awareness Award recognizes the effectiveness of media presentations. The award can be presented to a county, state, federal agency or organization, for establishing an effective public awareness campaign; an individual for effective articles or other publicity in the media; and to other groups for activities which create a positive public image of the child support enforcement program.

The Outstanding Contribution to Child Support – Host State Award recognizes experienced individuals who serve or impact the child support profession from the Host State in the public and private sector who, regardless of membership in WICSEC, have made significant contributions to the child support enforcement program. WICSEC Presenter Hall of Fame Award

WICSEC has a strong tradition of delivering first class child support training to front line staff, managers and executives. Dedicated child support experts dedicate their time to design, develop and deliver training to conference attendees. Year after year, these individuals volunteer to participate as speakers, panel members and moderators for the various workshops presented at the conference.

Each year, the WICSEC Board of Directors will nominate speakers to be honored for their service to WICSEC. The WICSEC Awards Committee will select one or more award winners from the individuals nominated and the person(s) selected will receive recognition at the annual WICSEC training conference and be included on the WICSEC Presenter Hall of Fame on the WICSEC website.
