Welcome
This is the official site of the Western Interstate Child Support Enforcement
Council (WICSEC). WICSEC is an organization of public and private child support
professionals from the states west of the Mississippi. We are committed to improving
child support enforcement for the benefit of the children and parents that we serve.
Need Your Help With The Deficit Reduction Act (DRA)
The DRA of 2005 signed by President Bush reduced the federal funding for the Child
Support Enforcement program. These cuts in funding will greatly affect the level of
services State Child Support programs can provide for children and families.
Congress is considering bipartisan legislation to restore these cuts and enable child
support agencies to continue helping single parent families at current levels. If
the funding is not restored, the Congressional Budget Office estimates that $11
billion in support owed to children will go uncollected over the next ten years. Show
your support of our nation’s child support system and our country’s children by
writing to your Members of Congress today! WICSEC is providing this link to our
members and the public to contact to voice your concerns. Please contact your congressman
and make your wishes known.
